Went on a Friday night. Great weather but the place was only about 2/3 full which never happened at The Shack. But hey, not necessarily a bad thing. I never had to wait on a drink. Format is all counter service with bar & kitchen separate -- only a mild inconvenience but they are able to keep your tab altogether which was nice. The beer selection was great, they have all the Fortress beers--a nice craft brewery I had recently tried in Spring. My lady would have liked a more diverse selection of non-beer offerings but sufficed with white wine. The burgers were tasty, much different from the Shack, not quite as ambitious or delicious but still very good. Enjoyed the different fries. The pretzel was a little too salty. The restrooms have been upgraded since The Shack days which was nice. Also loved the live music stage being moved under the tent -- it made for a more intimate setting with a good view of the stage and nice audio quality. Soda fountain choices could be improved -- they had RC cola, IBC root beer and 7up, but not the staples like Coke, Diet Coke & Sprite. Playground area remains spacious and is a nice resource for families with kiddos who want to stay a while. We had a perfect view of that area to keep an eye on the little one. Overall it was a nice experience at the Outpost and we will be back!

The food was good some of the juiciest burgers I've had in a while I'll give then that. I can't speak on their taps and the beers they had as I didn't have any during this visit. The place was ok not many places to sit if they are really busy at least that was my experience going daring what seemed to be school of rock concert series. Service was decent we didn't have any issues as others in the comments are mentioning despite the full house during our visit. Overall fairly positive experience for me.

We loved it all. The outdoor covered dining, drinking and hanging out. Really appreciate the kid area!! Enjoyed meeting #besomeone and #houstonskates The food was good: fried pickles and loaded fries is a great appetizer. The venue was busy and lively...but not packed and noisy. Perfect vibe! Try the hard cider with pineapple.

This place is amazing! Awesome food and a great selection of beers from blonds, to IPAs and Stouts! Must come and check out for yourself! The service was great, even for a packed Friday night! We asked about planning a big party and the manager said they can be flexible and accommodate with buffet style or a la cart. Very chill and love the live music! We took a look at their Instagram and they have live bands and singers almost every night! We will be back!

We visited on a Sunday night. They had a Country artist playing good music on the stage. We love Fortress Brewing so this place was a no brainer. The menu was the same as the previous owners with some upgrades and the burgers were fantastic. The only miss was on the kids Mac and cheese - it came out cold and a little bland but the waitress immediately offered to take it off the bill and we got kids tenders instead. I think it maybe just had to wait too long for the rest of the order. The kids love playing out back and it's a great spot. Kiddos to the new owners.

We tried out Misfits for dinner last night and we had a great time from start to finish. It was the perfect place to have a couple of beers while the kids ran around and played. We weren't fans of the food at the restaurant that used to be in this location, but would occasionally go just for the atmosphere and play area, a couple of beers, and then dinner someplace else. So glad to be able to enjoy the food here now too! I had the lobster roll and my husband had the Greek tacos. They were both super good! The kids ordered off the kids menu snd ate what they ordered so no complaints there. Our daughter took a bite of my lobster roll and she wants to order that next time. We will definitely be back. We both commented as we were leaving that it's the first time in a while that we've been completely satisfied when trying a new place. One suggestion to diners though, ask how long it's taking to get food out when you first sit down. We usually order a beer each and then place our order when ordering our second beers. Our waitress was honest and told us it was running about 30 minutes so we were able to order right away and manage our expectations. We'll definitely be back!
